Students are admitted to kindergarten and school on a competitive basis according to the results of the input diagnostics – interviews with a psychologist and primary school teacher on their intellectual potential and readiness for learning.
Before entering elementary school, the child is interviewed. We will not meticulously test it. We just talk. About what he likes to do, what fascinates him, about friends, favorite activities and other entertaining things. Later we will offer several tests, taking care that the baby is interested in working with them. Older children and tests will get more difficult, but here we will make sure that in case of failure, the child would not feel upset.
We may need several meetings in order to reliably make an impression of the level of preparation of the child. Our school works according to a rather complicated program, and when taking a child to a second or higher senior class, it is important for us to make sure that he can feel comfortable there. Often, if the child’s level of preparation does not correspond to the level of the class, we will offer a program of additional classes that will help the child bridge the gap.
